Mount Adams Park and Recreation District is pleased to announce that Sverre Bakke of White Salmon was appointed and sworn in to the Position 1 Commissioner’s seat vacated at the February 11th MAPARD meeting as E. Thompson Reynolds resigned his position. Sverre will serve out the remainder of Tom’s term which expires at the end of 2017.

Sverre is well known as the Editor of The Enterprise newspaper, and he also has other very valuable political experience, having served as a Klickitat County Commissioner in the mid-1990s. The district will benefit greatly from his involvement and experience. Welcome Sverre!

Mount Adams Park and Recreation District is pleased to announce that White Salmon residents Nicolas (Nico) Romero and Lloyd DeKay, were appointed last month to the Position 4 and Position 5 Commissioner’s seats vacated by the resignations of Hugh Whitson and Dana Scheffler. Nico will serve out the remainder of Hugh’s term which expires at the end of 2015, and Lloyd will serve out the remainder of Dana’s term which expires at the end of 2017.

Nico and Lloyd were sworn in at the beginning of the February 11th MAPARD meeting. The district will benefit greatly from their involvement. Welcome Nico and Lloyd!

Mount Adams Park and Recreation District is pleased to announce that Laurie Stanton of White Salmon was appointed to the Position 2 Commissioner’s seat vacated by Cheryl Steindorf’s  resignation. Laurie will serve out the remainder of the term which expires at the end of 2016.

Laurie was sworn in at the January 13th MAPARD meeting, and she has been taking meeting minutes for MAPARD for several months, so she is well prepared to build on the work of previous MAPARD Commissioners. The district will benefit greatly from her involvement.
